Responsibilities
- Perform detailed analysis on various 3rd party sites for link prospecting and identifying content marketing/link-building opportunities – using competitive intelligence tools.
- Analyze select web portals using 3rd party plugins and competitive intelligence tools to identify technical SEO factors or potential link-building opportunities.
- Identify ways to enable outreach and initiate communication with prospective site owners for link-building opportunities – using email, phone calls, social media & other avenues.
- Work independently on all aspects of SEO, including keyword research, content strategy, outreach and link building – to enhance organic search visibility for our web properties, blogs and mobile sites.
- Manage on-page and off-page SEO efforts by optimizing content, overseeing reporting, conducting regular SEO audits for core keyword groups, and proactively seeking out and negotiating relevant link placements on external websites to increase organic rankings.
- Work with the SEO team in developing SEO best practices and strategies for web search, social media, viral marketing, images and video for our various sites and blogs.
- Work with the internal web/content development team to improve the content, internal linking and site quality.
- Work on off-page SEO to attract external links and citations through a variety of marketing efforts.
- Monitor Google Webmaster Tools to identify site issues, such as crawl errors and HTML suggestions communicate with technical teams to resolve issues.
- Monitor, track and report on SEO performance and trends.
- Research and stay up-to-date on new developments, trends and technologies within the SEO space.
Requirements and Primary Skills
- Minimum of two (2) years’ experience with advanced level off-page & on-page SEO.
- Minimum of one (1) year experience with high-quality/advanced link-building SEO outreach.
- Outstanding communication skills (verbal & written) with reasonable English vocabulary usage.
- Demonstrated ability to utilize the English language for persuasive & engaging communications with no grammatical errors.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred in computers, business, marketing, communications or related field of study.
- Prior experience using SEO analysis/research tools like AHREFS, Majestic, SEO moz, or similar tools.
- Experience with off-page SEO implementation by link-building outreach, including social media marketing, public relations and viral marketing campaigns.
- Proven ability to manage on-page optimizations (metadata/site structure, keyword usage, internal linking, unique content, etc.)
- Web analytics experience with knowledge of analytical tools such as Google Analytics & Google Webmaster Tools.
- Self-motivated, detail-oriented, ability to prioritize, multi-task and manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Basic knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript and PHP.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
